When he is not staying at our place, Charlie lives on his island.
In his garden Charlie has a watering can. He takes it with him on his ladder to water the cherries in the tree. This helps them grow.
For his journey Charlie packs seven suitcases. When the first one is full, he fits it into the next and when that one is full, he fits it into the next and so on... should the smallest suitcase still be around, he can also fit it into his backpack.
When Charlie visits us, he says: “The animals on my island are fine. I took along those that are ill or in a bad mood. My animals are very kind, they do not gnaw on boxes.”
“Bye, Peter Pillbug, take care of yourself!”
On his expeditions, Charlie meets the most peculiar beings.
“Are you a bug?”
Through his telescope he spies the last griffin.
Once, Charlie met a confused man who was looking for his dog.
Charlie likes heffalumps.
At home, Charlie tells us all about his adventures. Some of his stories, he writes down. (Once there was a yeti, who was neither big nor small.)
This is Charlie‘s penguin. He flies in a helicopter.
When Charlie goes for a walk, he takes along his cloud on a leash ...
... and he waves to his small penguin in the sky.
Charlie has very many children – at least 27.
Charlie‘s children make lots of nonsense, and they fool around with the weather levers.
And then it rains all of a sudden, or there is a storm.
